The return of Rheinhart!
Everyone showed up for a party--Phlocky and Chaucha got into the feathers, Diesel & Feezle got into the wine, Quincy couldn't find his sunglasses and they were right on his head and Kenneth was up to something fishy...
Rhiney is going to stay with me for a week because I am feeling selfish. Once he leaves next week, I probably won't see him again for a while, so I am taking him with me to dulcimer camp next weekend and letting him have a few days to recover from the climb before he heads off to the land of smiles to visit Pepsi and Tiger in Thailand.

eager to get home
Marti said I was going to go to the part of the world where it might be wise to have some "precaution medicine" with me.
She offered to take me to her doctor but I told her no, I was eager to get home
inspecting the damage
well the way down was not without some thrills and spills. Luckily I was secure in my travel pod inside a zipped pocket.
Dented and dinged but still usable. Think of it as a patina of adventure.
Marti lost two water bottles and broke a strap buckle on her pack. She has a few bangs and bruises but calls then minor. She was angry about losing the water bottles. She will have to return, yet again, to REI for a new strap buckle.

Rhiney at the top
we are home safe and sound. The weather was glorious and we are absolutely pooped out.
Marti will get my pictures to you as soon as she can
Rhiney at the top of Mt St Helens, Mt Rainier in the distance. Spirit Lake the cauldera and the new dome in the foreground. A very dangerous snow and ice shelf that is ready to plunge into the crater. I am actually standing on where the rim should be.

Dim Sum
My adventure today is watching Marti dither around trying to get ready for our weekend.
We went for Dim Sum at lunchtime. Tasty braised noodles and Salt n Pepper Squid.
Ice Cream at Mora!
A scoop of Banananananan Split ( banana with chocolate and caramel swirls) and Italian Chocolate
at Snoqualmie Falls
We got up very early and drove to Snoqualmie Falls. While we were watching the falls, two Peregrine Falcons did acrobatics for us! They nest right below this spot. Marti was worried they might mistake me for food!
